In 2016, Rev. Linda Seatts-Ogletree Founded Release and Refresh Women’s Empowerment Series, Inc., (RRWES) a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the Mental, Emotional and Spiritual health of Women, Girls and their Families. She has a passion to see everyone live their Best Life!
She established RRWES based on the many Women, and Girls who are emotionally suffering in silence. RRWES was recognized by the University of Michigan Ann Arbor as a partner in Education.
An Educator for 25 years, she taught at Ashland Theological Seminary and Wayne State University (WSU) where she also led the Office of International Students and Scholars for 15 years, responsible for over 4,000 international students and 600 non-immigrant faculty and top researchers. She also was a National Diversity Speaker during her tenure at WSU. She left WSU after 20 years of Leadership and Teaching positions, to pursue full-time ministry utilizing her teaching and preaching gifts.
Rev. Seatts-Ogletree is a sought-after Preacher, Pre-Marital/Marriage/Relationship and Individual Counselor and Life Coach. She has helped many couples and individuals to become their best self individually and in relationships.
She has preached a message of hope in the U.S., Canada, Southeast Asia, and W. Africa, where she was humbly honored to travel with Liberian President Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson to dedicate schools in the Villages of W. Africa.
In 2018 God added to her ministry, “Music.” A gifted songwriter and international recording artist, she released her debut Contemporary Gospel Crossover Album, “Good News” on July 12, 2019. Her second single, “I’m Gonna Win,” charted #1 on European Radio in the U.K., and has been trending in Brazil, France, the Netherlands and 10 other countries. Her first single, “You’ll Get Your Life Back,” was written to encourage Cancer patients, their families, and friends and all who are going through challenging times in their life. She is a two-time Breast Cancer Survivor! Praise God!
Rev. Seatts-Ogletree is a gifted best-selling author of three books:
1) Did I Say That? How to Communicate in Everyday Life;
2) The Truth about the Superior Lie: Resurrecting the Lives of African Americans Crucified by the Lie! and;
3) My New Life: A Handbook for Born-again Believers.
She is currently working on her 4th book.
She has been interviewed and quoted in various media including but not limited to the Detroit Free Press, Inside Higher Education, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Michigan Lawyer’s Weekly and radio stations Sirius XM, 105.9 KISS FM Detroit, and 1440 AM where she hosted her weekly “Seeds of Hope” radio show.
A Human and Civil Rights Advocate, Rev. Seatts-Ogletree continuously support and participate in various social justice movements including several marches on in Washington including the 50th Anniversary March on Washington with Rev. Al Sharpton, Trayvon Martin Protests, March for our Lives in D.C., to support the students and families impacted in the Parkland, Florida mass shooting, and Michael Brown protests in Ferguson.
She is passionate about social justice and spirituality which is indicative of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Marketing from The Union Institute, Los Angeles, CA, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Ashland Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
She has received several awards and acknowledgments. Rev. Seatts-Ogletree is a member of ASCAP, the NAACP, National Action Network, the Women’s March, and March for Your Lives. She also supports missions and other charities serving God’s children.
She is married to her soul mate, Richard, and they enjoy Traveling, Worshipping, and spending time with family and friends.
